Welcome to the Friends of Chase Side Primary School (FOCS) website! FOCS is a registered charity run by parents, carers and teachers. The funds we raise are spent on enhancing the children’s experiences at Chase Side. We provide equipment and activities that the school’s own budget cannot stretch to funding. The events we organise are not only about raising money but also aim to bring children and their families together to have fun!
Every parent or carer is automatically a “Friend” of Chase Side and we always need help and fresh ideas. Have a look through the website to find out more about the projects we have supported, how you can help, recent meeting minutes and upcoming events!
Every Christmas FOCS arrange and fund a company to come to the school and perform a pantomime for children in Years 1-6. This year the children enjoyed Beauty and the Beast. We’ve received some heartwarming letters of thanks! Here are some of them…
We are so pleased the children enjoyed the performance – Merry Christmas!
Great! Now that we’ve got your attention, please take a minute to read how you can raise funds for Chase Side School through your regular online shopping. The best thing is that it won’t cost you a penny! How do you do it?
All you need to do is visit our page on easyfundraising. You then do all your shopping as normal, but the affiliated websites will make a donation to our charity on your behalf when you check out. It doesn’t cost you a thing and you can still get any special offers or discounts exactly advertised on the websites. Please bookmark these sites or even make it your home page so you never forget.
A huge thank you to staff, parents, children and everyone who attended, helped, donated, made cakes, performed and / or supported the FOCS Christmas Fayre! A huge amount of festive fun was had by all and we raised £5000 towards our mission to provide additional equipment for the school’s ICT suite.
Special thanks goes to the businesses who supported the Fayre:
- Winkworth Estate Agents in Enfield for their ongoing support and board sponsorship.
- Morrisons for their groceries donations.
- Tesco for their voucher donation.
- Holtwhites Artisan Bakery & Deli for their raffle prize donation.
- Vineyards Direct for their raffle prize donation.
- Year 1 mum, Amanda Mannion for her raffle prize donation.
A huge thanks also to Jo Bakhurst and Mr Millard for the dance performances.
Lastly, thank you to the Grotto Team who worked late into the night to construct the grotto and went flat during the afternoon to keep the queues down. Your enthusiasm and ideas triumphed and I wouldn’t be surprised if you were booked again next year!
